Beam FAQ

DuraKwik faux beams are made with uniquely formulated high density polyurethane foam and proprietary UV resistant coating

 

They can be cut with any standard saw with wood cutting blade.

 

2x4s, power drill, saw w/ wood cutting blades, trim head screws, chalk line, small paint brush, stud finder, tape mark, construction adhesive and optional toggle bolts

Yes, the end caps are designed to fit well anywhere on the beam.

Absolutely, all beams come with two end caps.  Beams with two end caps installed will work great as a mantel.

Yes.  Durakwik faux beams are perfect for recessed lighting as they are easy to cut.  The hallow inside allows the lighting wires to be hidden.

Durakwik faux beams are made to be more resistant to fire and heat, but not fire/heat proof.  They need to be kept away from any open flame or constant heat source of higher than 200F for at least 24″.
